Originally hailing from Spokane, Washington, Craig, a business graduate from Washington State University, and Vicki, who was born into an entrepreneurial family, saw great potential for a winery located at the southern tip of the Columbia Valley AVA. Determined to share their passion of wine with others, Craig and Vicki founded Maryhill Winery in 1999, opened its doors in 2001, and haven’t looked back since. Craig is a Board Member of the Washington Wine Institute and previous Board Member of Wine America.

Richard is a highly acclaimed winemaker with an extensive knowledge of viticulture and a passion for making amazing wine full of intense flavors and complexity.  Joining Maryhill in 2009, he is responsible for directing all production activities at the winery, including winemaking, bottling, vineyard grower relations and harvest coordination.  In 2013, Richard was named "Indy International Winemaker of the Year" and has crafted a number of "Top 25" wines from Wine Spectator.

By managing daily operations, Dirk ensures production runs smoothly on the winemaking side of things.  In his spare time he can be found riding his mountain bike, skiing, or hunting with his dog Buck.

Jerry got hooked on the wine business right out of college and has spent his career divided between working for a winery or a distributor in both retail and restaurant environments.  He is a level one sommelier in the Court of Master Sommelier’s and a CSW with the Society of Wine educators.  In his free time, Jerry enjoys spending time with his family as well as cooking, home projects, golf and baseball.

When Rich first met Craig and Vicki at a winemaker’s dinner, his future with Maryhill was sealed. As one of the winery’s longest standing employees, Rich represents Maryhill at tastings and events, as well as helps out on busy weekends in the tasting room. Rich is active in the Goldendale community and can be spotted cruising The Gorge on his Harley or in the garden with his wife.

Shyla was a longtime admirer of the winery before she joined the team in 2009. She enjoys the diverse nature of her work, which includes: planning special events, management of club-exclusive benefits & programs, giving personal one-on-one service to her members and has helped grow the wine clubs to more than 2,100 members. On her time off she enjoys scuba diving, sailing, and is active in the AKC sport of purebred dogs.

Maureen came to Maryhill in 2002, translating her experience with corporate buying and restaurant management to the operations of the family-run winery. Starting as tasting room manager, she now manages retail relationships, coordinates on-site events and stocks the gift shop. In her free time, she can be found teaching dance or exploring her passion for good music, food and books.

Miles, originally an England native, joined the Maryhill team as Tasting Room Manager in May 2015.  He is a level one sommelier in the Court of Master Sommelier’s and along with a passion for wine is also an avid craft beer connoisseur spending countless hours at home honing his craft as a homebrewer.  Miles takes advantage of the many recreational oppotunities in the region: he enjoys hiking, camping, fly fishing and loves to Golf.

As a retired High School, Skydiving, Scuba Diving and Sailing teacher, Rick found he had a bit too much time on his hands and began his career at Maryhill in 2009 as a volunteer.  Now, you'll often find Rick behind the bar in the exclusive Reserve Room where he continues to share his love of learning through wine education.

Lonnie joined the Maryhill team in February 2014 as a part-time server in the tasting room. Now she is the full-time shipping coordinator. She enjoys exploring the beautiful Columbia Gorge area as she has spent most of her life in the Portland/Vancouver area. She plays the piano, putters around in the garden, bike rides, plays softball, racquetball, and just generally likes any kind of physical activity.
