Out in October, Sip Northwest’s Best of the Northwest issue features top picks for wine, beer, spirits and cider the region has to offer and announces the winners in print to more than 120,000 readers. Each category awarded medals to the top four winning submissions (Double Gold, Gold, Silver and Bronze) in addition to Judges’ Picks (six per category), and the issue also covers industry leaders, trends, travel and products.
The beverages were tasted blind, with a panel comprised of the Northwest’s top palates, judges and professionals, whose verdicts relay onto the pages of the issue. Sip NW's goal is to provide their readers with unique and original content pertaining to the best of Northwest beverages and create an overall greater consumer awareness and appreciation of their area’s liquid assets.
The results have been announced, and Maryhill Winery’s 2016 Viognier has received silver in the “Best Viognier” category.
In addition, although not listed at the above link, Maryhill Winery’s 2016 Rosé of Sangiovese was a Judge’s pick for the “Best Rosé” category.
