Bocce Ball Courts at Maryhill Winery – Goldendale

Tucked alongside the scenic Columbia River Gorge, Maryhill Winery’s Goldendale location features a unique and inviting way to enjoy your time here: our four regulation Bocce Ball courts.

Built in 2005, the courts were thoughtfully constructed using a blend of crushed oyster shells and natural sand - materials carefully chosen to enhance gameplay and provide an authentic feel. In fact, we brought in 25,000 pounds of material on a full-sized flatbed to bring this vision to life.

For those unfamiliar, Bocce Ball is a classic Italian lawn game that blends strategy, skill, and just the right amount of friendly competition. Players take turns tossing bocce balls to land as close as possible to the smaller target ball, called the pallino. It’s easy to learn, fun to master, and perfect for players of all ages and experience levels.
